Activated Alumina is produced from aluminum hydroxide feedstocks. Through controlled thermal treatment, most water is eliminated to form the crystal lattice. Activated alumina is particularly effective as filter media due to the porosity of the grain. Activated Alumina can be doped to aid in pH balancing of filtered materials.
